biography
Mr. O’Keefe acts as outside general counsel to dynamic companies in a broad range of industries, including early stage to mid-sized companies raising money through debt or equity transactions as well as funds and investors in such companies. Mr. O’Keefe regularly advises companies on how to protect intellectual property rights and to maximize their value.
Prior to joining CRGP, Mr. O’Keefe was the General Counsel of Venali, Inc. a leading provider of electronic messaging services to Fortune 500 companies. At Venali, Mr. O’Keefe oversaw all legal issues from corporate governance, investor relations, creation and licensing of intellectual property rights, to contract negotiations and commercial disputes, and oversaw raising several rounds of significant funding from institutional sources. Mr. O’Keefe previously practiced law at the law firms of Akerman Senterfitt and Morgan Lewis and Bockius. Prior to law school, Mr. O’Keefe worked for the investment banking firm Alex Brown & Sons.
