biography
Mr. Greenberg's practice focuses on intellectual property rights with an emphasis on patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution; intellectual property due diligence in private equity and mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property law opinions; domain name acquisition and dispute resolution, technology transfer transactions such as drafting and negotiating licenses, confidentiality agreements and technology development agreements; and strategic IP consulting.
In respect specifically to patent rights, as a member of the bar of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Greenberg has written and/or prosecuted well over seven-hundred and fifty (750) new mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical/electronic, medical device, Internet and software-related patent applications, both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Greenberg's practice includes publicly-traded institutional clients, mid-range established concerns, academic institutions, and start-ups.
Mr. Greenberg has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law since 2003 where he teaches computer law each Spring Semester. Mr. Greenberg also has lectured for the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the University of Florida, the University of Miami, the University of Central Florida, Florida Atlantic University and Nova Southeastern University, and the Association of University Technology Managers, on topics which range from Software Patents to Trademark Dilution to Cybersquatting to the unlawful acquisition of music, motion pictures and software over the Internet.
In 1999, Mr. Greenberg was appointed to Florida Governor Jeb Bush's Internet Task Force. While a member of the Internet Task Force, Mr. Greenberg drafted legislation addressing the issues of cyberpiracy, the on-line protection of children and the Internet transmission of child pornography. In 2007, Mr. Greenberg was appointed to the Florida International University Board of Advisors to the Pino Family School of Entrepreneurship.
